The Melville Foundation pledges £10k

The Melville Foundation is supporting Ayrshire Hospice by pledging a £10,000 donation towards the building of a new hospice facility by the end of 2024

Founder and CEO Calum Melville said: “Ayrshire Hospice supported my mum, Dorothy, when she was terminally ill with a brain tumour in late 2021 and into 2022, so on a personal level supporting Ayrshire Hospice resonated with me.

Ayrshire Hospice provides specialist palliative care and services to people affected by life-limiting illnesses across Ayrshire and Arran. It is currently raising funds to construct a new hospice facility on its grounds at Racecourse Road, Ayr.

Capital Campaign Director, Hazel McIlwraith said: “We are immensely grateful to Calum and The Melville Foundation for this generous pledge of £10,000 towards to construction of our new hospice.

“Work on site has started which is hugely exciting and we’re really looking forward to watching its progress over the coming months with the aim of returning in Summer 2024.

“Support from organisations like The Melville Foundation are vital to the continued success of this project. We are massively appreciative of Calum and his team giving the Hospice this backing.
